You’ll be blown away by the sight of thousands of golden flowers reach as far as the green hills in the distance ❗

By Public Transport
Quickest: Via JR Utsunomiya Station (JR Utsunomiya Line)
Take the Tohoku Shinkansen or the JR Utsunomiya Line to JR Utsunomiya Station. Then, take the bus to Mashiko Station. From Mashiko Station, hire a bicycle (20min) or take a bus/taxi (10min).
Local: Via Shimodate Station to Mashiko Station (Moka Line)
Take the Tohoku Shinkansen or the JR Utsunomiya Line to JR Oyama Station. Then, take the JR Mito Line towards Mito and change trains at Shimodate for the Moka Line to Mashiko. From. From Mashiko Station hire a bicycle (20min) or take a bus/taxi (10min).
*There is a steam engine that runs once a day from Shimodate to Mashiko on weekends.
Highway Bus ‘Yakimono Liner’ from JR Akihabara Sta.
From JR Akihabara Station take the Yakimono Liner Bus (link to official bus site) ‘Highway bus ‘ (approx 2.5 hours). Get off at Mashiko Station. From Mashiko Sta. hire a bicycle (20min) or take a bus/taxi (10min).
