🚞 Watarase Valley Railway (Watarase Keikoku Tetsudo) runs through the ⛰ mountains of Tochigi and Gunma prefectures. The ride through the mountains is amazing and is a great way to enjoy the 🌸 cherry blossoms.
🌸🌸 Sakura is especially nice near Godo and Mizunuma stations. 😍
The popular open carriage (Torokko Trolly train) is especially cool, but regular trains also have a good views. 👀 If you can only get a regular train, make sure to sit near the window beside the driver where you can take cool pictures from the front of the train. 📸

Set on a narrow river bank with a tunnel of over 600 🌸sakura trees, Fukuokazeki is steeped in local history❗️
Originally a dam built in the 🏯Edo period, the river is still used by local 🌾farmers. Wander down the path and enjoy the blossom’s reflection with the sweet sound of 🕊🎼birdsongs. ⛰Mt.Ohira, lying centrally in the Ohirasan Natural Park just a short drive from Tochigi city (or take a bus from Tochigi Sta.), is covered by more than 4,000 🌸🌲cherry trees. When spring rolls over, the whole mountain will be covered with fluttering pink 🌸cheery blossoms, giving the impression of a wonderland which only appears in fairy tales.
There are numerous 📸viewpoints on Mt.Ohira. And the 660-year-old Misumi Obira Cherry Tree at the foot of the mountain is no doubt one on the must-see list!
On top of that, Mt.Ohira offers a scenic and fairly easy 🚶hiking trail that leads all the way to the ⛩️Ohirasan Shrine, from where you can treat your 👀eyes with a striking view of the landscape and see Tokyo on a clear day.
