Although many think of cherry blossoms🌸 as the symbol of Japanese spring, plum blossoms (“ume”) have historically been cherished during springtime as well. The charming pink and white plum blossoms actually bloom even earlier than cherry blossom! In a few words, they symbolize the arrival of spring, vitality, and hope😍.
Mito is certainly the place to be during this lovely season.💕 Stop by at Kairakuen Garden and Kodokan to enjoy the wonderful view and some exciting spring festivities!
Considered one of the ✨3 greatest gardens in Japan✨, Kairakuen Garden treasures 3000 plum trees💐 that are absolutely mesmerizing. Did we mention some wine tasting😍 at the 🍶Umeshu (plum wine) Festival ? Or the evening illuminations✨ and fireworks🎆 ? In fact, the whole Mito Plum Blossom Festival is packed with fun events, so make sure you check them all out!💕
