Motegi town has a few Western-style hotels such as Fairfield by Marriott and the Mobility Resort Motegi Hotel with spacious rooms. These can fill up during racing weekends, it is also useful to check Hotels in Utsunomiya city and Mito city which has many hotels.
Motegi town has a lot of nature, so there are a few campsites and cabin rentals, such as Nagomi, Eagle’s Nest campsite, and Mobility Resort Motegi.
There isn’t Onsen hotels in Motegi Town but Mashiko Town next to Motegi has Mashikokan Hotel popular with overseas visitors.

From Shinjuku Station and Tokyo Station in Tokyo, you can take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) to “Mobility Resort Motegi”. (approx. 3 hrs)
From JR Utsunomiya Station, take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) or a taxi to “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 70 mins).
From JR Tsukuba Station, take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) to “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 130 mins).
From Mooka Railway Motegi Station, take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) to “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 30 mins).
Note: During MotoGP race weekends, seats on these buses fill up fast!
Car
The Motegi circuit (Honda Mobility Resort) is a 50-min drive from Mito IC on the Joban Expressway or a 50-min drive from Moka IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway.
*Driving is the most flexible option, but expect heavy congestion on race days.
*Pre-purchased parking tickets are mandatory for most on-site lots during the MotoGP weekend.
Note: From Tokyo, Mito IC is closer. If coming from Tochigi & Gunma, Moka IC is closer.

From Tokyo Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen to JR Utsunomiya Station (approx. 50 mins). From JR Utsunomiya Station (East Exit- map), take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) bound for “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 90 mins).
*The bus departs early in the morning, so you may want to stay in Utsunomiya the night before.
From Akihabara Station, take the Tsukuba Express to JR Tsukuba Station (approx. 50 mins). From JR Tsukuba Station, take the Motegi GP Express Bus (reservation required) bound for “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 130 mins).
*The bus departs early in the morning, so you may want to stay in Tsukuba the night before.
From Ueno Station in Tokyo, take the Express train (Hitachi or Tokiwa) on the JR Joban Line to JR Mito Station (approx. 75 mins). From JR Mito Station (North Exit, Bus Stop 7), take the local bus (only one a day) bound for “Mobility Resort Motegi” (approx. 90 mins).
*The bus departs early in the morning, so you may want to stay in Mito the night before.
*During major race weekends, buses with reserved seats often fill up fast!
We recommend using a travel app like Google Maps or Japan Transit Planner to find train times.
By Car
From the Tokyo metropolitan area, drive to the Mito IC (90 min), then drive another 50 minutes to Honda Mobility Resort Motegi Circuit (Total time from Tokyo is 2-2.5 hours).
You can also use the Kita-Kanto Expressway via Moka IC, which is also about 50 minutes to the circuit (Total time from Tokyo is 3 hours).
Parking: Paid parking is available.
