Hitachi Seaside Park is a beautiful park located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, which is just a short train ride away from Tokyo.

It is one of Japan's most famous parks with its stunning flower gardens, which bloom in different colors and varieties throughout the year. Most famous are the Nemophila flowers that bloom in Spring and red Kochia bloom in autumn.

In addition to the flowers, Hitachi Seaside Park has a number of other attractions including a large playground, an amusement park, and plenty of walking trails that offer great views of the Pacific Ocean.

How to get there

Hitachi Seaside Park is a beautiful park located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is a short train ride away from Tokyo, and there are a number of ways to get there.

Train: Take the JR Jyoban line to Katsuta Station (90min from Tokyo Sta.), Take the bus from Katsuta station to the park (15min).

Bus: 2 hours from Tokyo station (from Yaesu South exit) *Direct to the Park!

* I highly recommend driving past Hitachi Kaihinkoen IC and got all the way to where the road meets the ocean and use the parking near the back entrance of the park especially on holidays and weekends as the front entrances can be very crowded.
