Capybara Yuzu Hot Spring (SPECIAL EVENT)

Visit Capybara Forest (in Kingdom Town) for this popular annual event! Watch the capybaras relax in a hot spring filled with around 150 floating yuzu and enjoying a 20-minute keeper talk.
Only Saturday, Dec. 20 to Monday 2025, Dec. 22, starting at 1:00 PM.

NEW: The "Discovery" Performance (starting April 27)

Experience a world of wonder where land and sea animals reveal their fascinating "secrets" through a mix of entertainment and discovery. Come along to participate in this new immersive program to see, join, and learn about the natural world in a fun way!

Get ready for an overload of cuteness this winter! The popular Gentoo Run is back, featuring a squad of about 20 Gentoo penguins dashing through a 40-meter obstacle course.

During winter seasons, the bird performance is at 13:00 (15min) at Barbecue Garden. Watch hawks, bird of prey and parrots perform and fly just above your head.

Feeding Experience

Feed various animals, including penguins, seals, alpacas, sheep, horses, capybaras, and waterfowl in the Kingdom Town area. You can also enjoy a ride on the back of a Bactrian camel.

How we help animals at Nasu Animal Kingdom

Nasu Animal Kingdom puts great emphasis on the protection, conservation, and awareness of wildlife and the environment. Through initiatives like our ‘CONSERVATION FOREST’, we aim to protect and exhibit endangered species like Tsushima Wildcats and Japanese Grouse. Our breeding programs and collaboration with other zoos have been contributing to wildlife conservation. Below are some examples.

Ex situ conservation efforts for grouse.

After accepting fertilized eggs of grouse (a national special natural treasure of Japan), we raised the birds and returned them to the wild.

Tsushima Cat Conservation Efforts

Our Wildcat Terrace restaurant offers dishes where part of the sales goes to helping secure a feeding ground for the Tsushima Wildcats.

Conservation of wild snow leopards

We sell items that help protect wild snow leopards and the local communities in Kyrgyzstan.
