⑤ Learn about sake at a local Sake brewery

Japanese name: 酒蔵見学

Come and 👀learn how 🍶sake, Japan’s most popular alcoholic drink is made❗

While in 🇯🇵Japan, why not educate yourself with the art of 🍶sake brewing?

Sake is made from rice, but the process is unique and it’s like none other. It’s not like wine, different from beer and not a spirit. It can be drunk cold, warm or at room temperature.

Although there are 1,400 sake breweries in Japan, its not easy to find a brewery that is happy to welcome visitors. So, we’ve listed some breweries we know well located nearby Tokyo and are happy to have overseas visitors come and visit them.

For details of these breweries, please check out our list of sake breweries you shouldn’t miss near Tokyo.
